last night i still managed to go to the milanesiana (beautiful event here in milan) to listen to a speech by michael cunningham, to see the pictures of andres serrano and especially to listen to the music (unfortunately he couldn’t sing because he had lost his voice) of the great “antony and the johnson”.
this morning i’m already leaving.
for the next few days my blog moves to the website of the highly titled corriere.it: http://www.corriere.it/Speciali/Spettacoli/2007/si2007/index.shtml

between milan and florence, by train
came back from berlin and immediately running around to do thousands of things.
amongst others yesterday I had to go to florence for “pitti” leaving in the morning and coming back in the evening, i went by train.
i think few hours by train represent a healthy and appropriate “photograph” on how people are, and in fact we are the others, so few hours at the mirror is always appropriate.
and how are we?
a disaster:
-first of all we all know that on long running trains the seats are booked and assigned. nobody sits in the fucking right place. “madam, this is my seat” “seat at my place, it is all the same” but her seat is taken by someone else …., and so on in a kind of musical chair swapping…
and if someone really wants his place everybody looks at him like a strict pain in the ass, yes, i’m a strict pain in the ass, by i want my fucking seat!
-everybody, and i mean everybody, has the fucking ringbone of their fucking cell phone on loud, the cell phone rings, everybody searches in their jackets, in their bags and finally someone answers and starts shouting loudly about his own fucking personal matters.
-families with children. children do what the fuck they want, they fuck bother everybody, they scream, they shout, they want, they demand. just give a big fat slap to this fucking shorty!
-few are reading, and they read fucking pathetic magazine. a favourite one is “CHI”. i haven’t seen anybody with something decent, not even the “corriere”.
-managers dressed like managers keep in front of them their fucking PC, and this is the only thing they do: lots of nice excel tables. full of numbers, data. that’s it!? is this all?!? you only think about money, you fucking managers?
-in front of me a nobel lady, elegantly dressed. i wonder why i thought she would be a beacon of solid and antique politeness, her cell phone rings, VERY LOUD nokia ring tone. it rings for a while. She answers, and she also starts to shout, so that also those sitting in the next carriage can hear her fucking personal details.
-next to me a moroccan (am i racist? absolutely not, don’t break my ass with this story about racism, i only said he is moroccan, if i wrote he is a japanese would you have accused me of being racist?), i was saying this moroccan spent all his time fetching from the pocket of his pants some kind of seeds, put them in the mouth, chew them with the mouth wide open and spitting the left over in his hand, cleaning it on his pants and throwing everything on the floor.
-two young girls next to me, alternative and a little bit freaks, spent the time discussing about new tattoo and where to place it: an empty star on the shoulders? an oriental symbol meaning love on the neck? a dolphin on the ankle?
So, from deep inside my heart, my dear travel companions on the trains milan-florence florence-milan of yesterday 20 of june, you can all go to hell.
you can all sink in that filth made of copies of CHI, cell phones, train triviality, tattoos and everything else.
who am i to rebel against this all?
am i that much better?
which right do i have to teach you?
none, but like i very often say, i’m not that better, i’m absolutely normal, the others are far far worst.
deep inside of me i often love individuals, but more often i hate people…

berlin #02

it is really true, as hamlet’s shakespeare says “there are more things in the sky and on earth, horace, than your philosophy can dream”.
During my stay in berlin to take photos i have seen a lot of things, nice architecture, good restaurants, all those things i expected to see in germany.
there is though a loose shrapnel, a distorted tune, an event, slightly unexpected, that manages to show the hidden folds of reality.
it happened when i took a taxi.
when you call a taxi in germany you expect to see the classic german taxi driver: with a mercedes colour of puke, short hair in front and long on the neck, wearing a sweater of a soccer team.
the one that arrived was to tell you mildly surprising. i must admit i took many taxi around the world, from maroc to malaysia, from thailand to africa.
never before i took such a messy, dirty, muddled taxi like the one i took in berlin, germany.
here above a small photo of the dashboard.
the world is beautiful because is all different…

miranda july
i went to listen miranda july to here in milan, she spoke about her recent book, “you more than anybody else”, published by feltrinelli.
miranda has enchanted anyone of us some times ago with her beautiful movie “me and you and everyone we know”, now she brings on the pages of her book her surreal atmospheres (but concrete), romantic (but anguished), passionate (but cynical).
Well, a movie to se, a book to read.

horoscope
i never read the horoscopes, i in fact find that a serious newspaper shouldn’t publish that sequence of useless bullshit all horoscopes are full of.
but there is an exception, the horoscope published by the great magazine “l’internazionale”.
each week a poetical and inspired rob brezsny publishes his horoscope, that doesn’t have the presumption of saying “love good, work improving” or bullshit like that, but speaks freely of various philosophical topics that can be of interest for everybody, not only those born on may 22nd.
week my sign is emphasized, gemini.
here is exactly what rob writes:
“for your horoscope of this week i draw from the wisdom of ralph waldo emerson, a gemini philosopher. his sublime vision of the world matches perfectly your astral prediction. here is his first advice: -life is all an experiment. the more you experiment the better it is-. here his second advise:-what is a weed? a plant which virtues have not been discovered yet-. and this is the third:-he who doesn’t overcome one fear a day hasn’t discovered the secret of life yet-. let’s end off with this war-cry, emerson number four:-do not go where the road takes you. rather go where there is no road, leave a track-.”

a nice website
since i started this blog and this website i always thought, probably making a mistake, not to name anybody and especially not to mention any link of any other website.
i insist, maybe it is a mistake, but so i have decided.
sometimes though rules need to be broken, especially when it is really worth it.
today is the day, now and this is surely the right case.
when a website is well done, with good taste, clever and especially innovative tit is worth mentioning it.
