THORIMBERT PER HAITI

[it]il problema delle tragedie, piccole o grandi che siano, è che provocano assuefazione: all’inizio ci impressionano, ci commuovono e poi, inesorabilmente, spariscono dai media e ce ne dimentichiamo…

ad haiti c’è stato il tremendo terremoto che tutti conosciamo. anch’esso sta lentamente scomparendo, sopraffatto nelle notizie da terremoti molto più meschini e vicini a noi. ma la tragedia continua e non si risolverà certo velocemente. c’è qualcuno che documenta quotidianamente come sono le cose laggiù nei caraibi: insomma l’emergenza non è per niente finita, anzi.

io (scusate l’inutile protagonismo) ho dato il mio contributo, versando una certa cifra. ma si può fare sempre di più e meglio…

ho avuto quindi la meravigliosa collaborazione di toni thorimbert, il più importante fotografo italiano (è inutile girarci intorno, è così…), per raccogliere del denaro da dare in beneficenza.

toni mi ha dato quattro meravigliose stampe da vendere. le immagini sono tutte quadrate e misurano 28,6 x 28,6, sono montate su cartoncino, datate, timbrate e firmate sul retro.

eccole qui, tutte cliccabili ed ingrandibili, per meglio apprezzarle:

la prima  e la seconda sono state scattate in portogallo nel 1994, la terza a roma nel ’93, la quarta a berlino nel ’97.

queste quattro stampe sono MERAVIGLIOSE, e sono in vendita ad una cifra ben al di sotto delle normali quotazioni di questo artista: 250 euro l’una.

cos’altro posso dire di più: ho la presuntuosa sicurezza che chi segue il mio blog possa capire da solo che è un’occasione unica per avere a casa un thorimbert originale ad una cifra ottima e sapendo che, ogni volta che ne godrete, penserete che i vostri soldini siano andati per una nobile causa.

non c’è asta al rialzo, non ci saranno altre stampe in vendita quindi affrettatevi: mandatemi una mail a “info [at] benedusi [dot] it” e vi dirò come procedere.

[en]The problem about tragedies is that, as big or as small as they are, they provoke the same habit: at the beginning they astonish us, they affect us and then, inexorably, disappear from the media and we forget about them…

There has been the terrible earthquake in haiti which we all know about. Even this is slowly disappearing, overwhelmed by news of miserable earthquakes nearer to us. But the tragedy continues and it surely won’t be resolved quickly. There is someone documenting daily how things are going down there in the caribbean: in short the emergency is not at all fake, on the contrary.

I (excuse the useless first person protagonist) have given my own contribution, by giving a certain sum of money. But one can do much more and better than that…

So I had the wonderful collaboration of toni thorimbert, the most important italian photographer (there is no way around it, it’s like that…), to collect some money to give to charity.

Toni gave me four beautiful prints to sell. The images are all square and they measure 28,6 x 28,6. They are card board mounted, with the date, stamped and signed on the back.

The first and the second one were shot in portugal in 1994, the third in rome in ’93, the fourth in berlin in ’97.

These four prints are BEAUTIFUL, and they have a price tag well below the usual quotes of this artist: 250 euros each.

What can I say more: I have a presumptuous certainty that who follows my blog could understand that this is a unique chance to have at home an original thorimbert at an excellent figure and knowing that, everytime you enjoy its sight, you’ll think on how your money was well spent for a noble cause.
