The workshock has come to an end (copyright francesca stella!) which took place in Corigliano Calabro, within the festival that is held there since nine years, for the passion and love of photography by Gaetano Gianzi and Cosmo Laera.
The workshock has been really interesting, as well as very tiring: not because the “students” weren’t dedicated, but because every time I try to give, give, give and give more. Honestly its exhausting.
A really interesting fact is that the best work were made by three girls (one of which, Martina, 17 years old!) and was basically the first time they took a camera in hand: knowing too much (or, rather, to think to know…) is obviously a burden hard to eliminate.
It is much better knowing to not know, rather than think you know…
Really thanks to everyone for participating, thanks to the two models, as beautiful as brave, Arianna and Magena.
The first day I took a photograph of Arianna, which I actually had in mind for some time and I hope in the future to have the time and inclination to develop: a group of people in a public place that completely ignore the presence, of course not “discreet”, of a completely naked woman. Perhaps I am the only one that can see this woman?
Moreover this shot has served to show all the participants in the workshock, avoiding the usual big group:
More words about the festival: for those who love photography this is an excellent time to share this passion with others. Everything is organised very well, as I mentioned above, but repeat it gladly, with passion and love by Gaetano Gianzi Cosmo Laera, which I want to thank publicly.
To have in one place great photographers, curators, critics, journalists and so is a unique opportunity: I do suggest that you attend next year.
And I also discovered that Franco Fontana is very nice!
