Indeed it is! It has been THIRTY NINE years since the famous Pirelli calendar was created and it has never been shot by an italian photographer! But finally this year is the turning point: an italian photographer!
The Pirelli press office has obviously done a great job, because in these last few days you can read and know all about it everywhere, and everywhere we read that the author is Mario Sorrenti, the italian Mario Sorrenti.
Ok, take it for good. We have gained a new great photographer, here in these parts, the italian Mario Sorrenti!
Its a pity though (if this principle stands) that we loose so many other great personalities. Yes indeed. For example:
– we loose a great song writer, the german Vinicio Capossela (born in Hannover, Germany)
– We loose a greatest writer, the (despite the name…) cuban Italo Calvino (born in Santiago de Las Vegas, Cuba)
– And we even loose a great saint! The (despite his nickname) portuguese Saint Anthony of Padua (born in Lisbon, Portugal)
But now we have one more photographer: as we are missing some…
